will be joined by contralto Karen Green and tenor Gary Aubin for an evening of warm and
powerful gospel tunes. Newly formed but accomplished, this group will move you

At the crossroads of traditional Americana and contempory
acoustic music, the McCarthy-Paisley Band found its inspiration. Their
blend of gluegrass and folk music, backed by rich harmony and exceptional
musicianship, has made The McCarthy-Paisley Band a crowd favorite. Their
relaxed, lighthearted demeanor permeates every performance, bringing
a "live from the living room" feel to the audience.

Fresh from a brilliant live performance in Auburn,
Tyburn Academy brings a full concert version of the Broadway hit
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to our stage. These
talented high-schoolers will be accompanied by local professional instrumentalists.
Andrew Lloyd-Webber's first-rate musical was written originally for a
school performance, then brought to the Broadway stage. The lyrics,
based on the story from Genesis, are by Tim Rice.

On November 7, 1861, Union gunboats attacked Fort Beaurgard
and Fort Mitchell, Confederate forts located off Hilton Head Island.
The North won the battle and proceeded to develop a Union settlement in the
heart of Dixie. Charlie Snyder will tell the story of that battle, the
events which preceded it, and what happened thereafter. He is an educator
and historian who leads tours for the Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton
Head and teaches at the University of South Carolina in the senior Learning
Exchange Program.

Andrew and Noah VanNorstrand are young prodigies from Fulton, whose
celebrity is spreading.
They have played at the Opera House with John Rossbach and Chestnut Grove.
For this show they will be joined by their mother, Kim, with whom -as the Great Bear Trio- they
are justly renowned on the contra dance circuit. Andrew is an extraordinary fiddler and plays
a variety of instruments; Noah has a special enthusiasm for African drums and the didgeridoo. The
brothers have appeared on A Prarie Home Companion.

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the filming of
The Legend of Firefly Marsh in Aurora and in the Aurora Free Library.
Enjoy Bar-B-Q at the Aurora Fire House and attend a screening of Aurora's
"own film " at the Opera House. Hear director Gabe Torres discuss the movie; hear
the actors relive their roles. Ask them questions while being taped for possible
inclusion in a soon to be released DVD. A benefit for the Aurora Free Library
Roof Fund.

Aspiring thespians ages 6-15 will experience
5 weeks of instruction in many aspects of theater production, led by a
professional director, and culminating in two performances. Rehearsals
will begin shortly after school ends and will be held mornings at the Opera
House. This event requires a participation fee and minimum enrollment.

Shakespeare Over Easy or Where There's a Will
There's Our Way is a humorous exposition of three of the immortal
Bard's tragedies and all of his comedies. There will be music and
the melodious sound of Shakespeare's Elizabethan cadences. The Geriactors
are a group of retired actors from the Rochester area who performed
The Second Shepherd's Play to great applause at the Opera House
last year.

The Lonesome Sisters
do traditional Appalachian,
old time country, early bluegrass, original, gospel, a capella,
ballads, and bare bones harmony acoustic singing. Sarah Hawker inherited
her voice from the many singers in her family/ Debra Clifford is a seasoned
multi-instrumentalist and singer. They write lively, funny, moving songs
-Sarah's "Forgiveness" won the country songwriting contest at last year's
Merlefest. Ithaca fiddler Steve Selin will join them.

will include performances of songs and writings created by Masons from the 1700's
through the present day. Though of particular interest to Masonic scholars, the event

This Classic American comedy by Kaufman and Hart will
be directed by Dixie Whitney who directed The Rimers of Eldrich and Thurber
Carnival in this theater. She will lead a cast of talented local actors,
many of whom have appeared in productions here and elsewhere. Auditions
for this Readers'Theater will be held in early September.
