The Morgan Opera House presents the CUKE (Cornell University Klezmer Ensemble) Saturday, October 25th at 7:30 pm. Comprised of professional musicians, students and community members, the ensemble will perform a mixture of dance music, religious ritual music and folksongs, from a number of European traditions. The resulting music is an equal mixture of rollicking dance songs, and reflective pieces that inspire spontaneous toe tapping and even dancing in the aisles. This joyous, soulful music is produced on multiple instruments; clarinet, violin, trombone, mandolin, tuba, flute, drum and accordion. Enjoy a pleasant evening of engaging music.
