along with Pete Seeger's grandson, Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, and the rest of the Mammals
present a gleeful mix of old-timey music, vintage pop and contemporary folk,

Vocalist Denice Peter Karamardian teams up with Doug Robinson,
guitar and vocals, to present a saucy evening of music from Brazil. Enhanced with
bass and percussion, they will coax you through the mountains, beaches and rainforests
of Brazilian melody and rhythms. Delight in the smooth Portuguese cadences, the sambas,
soul poems and melodic stylings that have swept through South America.

This quartet from Syracuse has been harmonizing the gospel
since 1961
and they are wonderful. They are sway-full and pray-full. Messrs. Smith,
Thomas, McArthur and Spears perform a mixture of traditional and original material,
both reverent and swinging. Our first ever gospel concert!

During the summer of 1864 a Pennsylvania regiment, mostly miners,
dug a tunnel under the Confederate lines and detonated an explosion that shook the
world. What followed was a classic fiasco. Charles Snyder, former mayor of
Aurora and serious Civil War buff, will clarify this segment of the movie,
Cold Mountain.

Folk musician Lynn Koch will perform Folk Songs of Upstate New York
to culminate the New York is Read, White, and Blue State Summer Reading Program. Lynn will
bring history to life by performing canal songs, lumberjack songs, and what he calls
"musical tomfoolery" accompanied by not-often seen folk instruments including the
mountain dulcimer. Be sure to bring your favorite bear and a picnic lunch to this fun annual
event. Co-sponsored by the Aurora Free Library
and the Morgan Opera House.

will read from their original works. Cynthia Garrett, Associate Professor of English and teacher
of Fiction Writing will read her fiction. Sarah Roberts, the Victor Hammer Fellow at the
Wells College Book Arts Center and
Bruce Bennett, Professor of English and Director of Creative Writing will read their poetry. A
guest student writer will round out the quartet.
