the life and works of their heroine, Jane Austen. They sing songs that Jane would have sung, read letters that Jane wrote, and dress

Elmira Prison Camp: the Andersonville of the North

"If there ever was a hell on earth Elmira prison was that," is a quote from a Confederate soldier after
the Civil War. Charles Snyder, professor, story-teller and historic tour guide, will lead us back to the time of the Civil War to expose
the happenings at Elmira Prison and explore the reasons why it was there. The talk will also touch on examples of other prisoner-of-war
camps and their stories.

The Zabriskie Folk Art Series

Andrew and Noah VanNorstrand have been playing the Opera House since they were kids. Both "boys" are
accomplished singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, focusing on twin fiddles, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and
banjo. Their original music blends old-time Country and Bluegrass, Celtic and Contra, Swing and Jazz, alternative folk rock and various
world music influences with daring improvisation and intricate arrangements. The six-piece ensemble adds accordion, bass and drums as
well as Noah’s wife, Kailyn Wright, on vocals.

Panloco Steel Drum Band

This highly versatile steel drum band was formed in 1995 in Western New York. The six- member, classically educated
group, explores the unique musical qualities of the steel pan from its traditional Caribbean roots to pop, jazz, classical and world music.
Bring a chair or a blanket and sit lakeside to enjoy this lively, distinctive music while surrounded by the great outdoors. Location TBA.

Dave McKeon grew up in Poplar Ridge, attended Wells and played in local bars and benefits. He relocated to the City and
more recently New Jersey, where he has played steadily for years. An accomplished musician, he performs both solo and with a band. Dave’s
enthusiasm at returning to his roots after ten years is bound to inspire some surprises. Benefit for the Opera House.

The Big Band sound of Gap Mangione and friends will reverberate in the Opera House for the very first time. This band with
its complement of three trumpets, three trombones, four saxophones, rhythm section and vocalists, includes in its repertoire arrangements from
the swing era through the more modern big bands to a cross section of the best in popular music, arranged specifically for this group. Gap and
brother Chuck collaborated on his first hit, "Diana in Autumn." The emphasis today is on quality, style and variety. Sponsored in part

Rockefeller (Standard Oil) and muckraker Ida Tarbell (McClure’s magazine). Topics of current interest - concentration of energy resources
and women’s emergence in the workplace - combine with the perennial conundra of religion as motivator and of children’s relationships with
their fathers. Winner of the 2010 Gloria Peter Playwright Competition.

The Opera House welcomes back the Klezmer Kings, a band of local and imported musicians who play the glorious
folk music of Eastern Europe with verve and feeling. Wailing and soulful clarinets, blaring and mellow trombones, fiddle and percussion,
all blend to make music both stirring and smooth. We encourage dancing. You will not be able to avoid clapping along. Fully funded by
the Mandel Therapy Group of King Ferry and Moravia to benefit the Opera House.
